Description

Taylor 1948

Level into the neck, slightly bin-soiled label, scuffed metal capsule embossed with "Taylor's 1948"

The most scented, violetty nose of all (violets = Vargellas). Great fruit profile. Pure plums. Glorious true fruit, sweet frankness, heavenly harmony. The alcohol is hidden (which is how it should be). Real meatiness. Another bottle reiterated this formidable scent, predominating violets and massive luscious character. On its 60th birthday, very deep in colour. So youthful, vibrant and vivid. So fruity and stays so true in the glass. Not the slightest sign of age. An all-out stunner. And the same in 2009. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
