82.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Merlot, 0.5% Petit Verdot. This has such a concentrated, classy nose, huge, but with great natural balance. There is real cassis there. Great, irony wine, the result of the small, concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon berries. Combines being soft and yet so dense and thick. The tannins are hidden under the richness and polish. Fabulous blackberry fruit. Will last a century and it will always be sensually sweet. Endless and eternal. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

Provenance

This cellar features some of the best Bordeaux in owc. Highlights include Mouton 2000, La Mission Haut Brion 1982, Haut Brion 1990, Latour 2009 and Lafite 2009. While the First Growth are clearly represented, ready to enjoy Bordeaux classics such as Pichon Baron 2000, Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc 2005 and Lynch Bages 1996 are also up for grabs.
