In 1962, Rolex launched reference 5513 which was in production until 1989 therefore ranking among the longest-lasting references in the Submariner family. Despite this, there exists great design variation within the reference such as the early gloss dials, the subsequent matte dials and the gold-circled index dials. The present lot, which is in admirable condition present the much desired and celebrated feet first dial design with open sixes and nines.
