Rolex launched their very first quartz wristwatch in 1970, introducing the Beta 21 powered ref. 5100 which was produced for two years in roughly 1000 examples. The Rolex Oysterquartz was launched in 1977 with the references 17000 and 17013. For the first time, the Swiss brand had fitted their quartz watches with an in-house caliber and an Oyster case. The Day-Date was eventually released in its Oysterquartz version the same year, with the references 19018 and 19019.

The present Oysterquartz Day-Date in yellow gold bears the ref. 19018 and a 36 mm Oyster case, fitted with an integrated bracelet. The 36 mm wristwatch is powered by the Rolex caliber 5055, featuring quick-date and stop seconds features. The timepiece stands in great condition and represents a rare opportunity to acquire a historically important Rolex watch.
