An unusual cylinder watch with calculating scales

Circa 1900

• Movement: unsigned gilded, cylinder escapement, plain three-arm balance  

• Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring, silvered outer scales, the inner most revolving, the outer fixed, blued steel hand indicating to outer scales and mounted on a rotating concealed disc

• Case: Continental silver, engine-turned back centred with a vacant shield-shaped cartouche, two crowns either side of the pendant for turning inner sliding scale and disc carrying blued steel hand, inside back engraved Meyrat & Perdrizet Brevetés S.G.D.G. Al^se Beaudroit F^cant Seloncourt. Doubs, 56, maker's stamp possibly A.G, case back and pendant with French control marks
