The present lot offers a rare opportunity to acquire a unique watch: an extraordinary Rolex Lady Datejust featuring a malachite dial with the highly collectible Omani khanjar, accompanied with matching 18k yellow gold and malachite ring and bracelet. The rarity of the lot is further enhanced by the 'Asprey' inscription on the caseback of the watch. Furthermore, there is another khanjar in the closure of the bracelet and an elegant presentation box from Asprey featuring yet Oman's national symbol once again.
The watch comes to us form the family of the original owner, who were gifted the watch by Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said, as her husband was Major General Kenneth Perkins, who was stationed in Oman to assist the Sultan during the 1970's, and can be seen in his autobiography "A Fortunate Soldier" alongside the Sultan in numerous photographs.
