Circa 1830, 1817, 1823


• First: gilded full plate, verge escapement, plain three-arm brass balance, decoratively pierced and engraved balance bridge, silver regulation plate • white enamel dial, polychrome enamel painted with a Roman soldier and horse, subsidiary mean time dial, small subsidiary dial for date, outer ring for seconds, centre seconds hand • plain polished silver case numbered5401, 956, case maker's mark HM and with Neuchâtel control mark

• Second: silver English pair cased verge watch, gilded full plate movement, verge escapement, plain flat three-arm steel balance, highly decoratively pierced and engraved balance cock, a mask at the neck, fusee and chain, turned pillars • white enamel dial, polychrome enamel painted with horses and a carriage with driver, subsidiary mean time dial, Roman numerals, outer minute ring • plain silver inner case, inner and outer caseshallmarked Birmingham 1817 and with case maker's mark HH incuse probably Hannah Howard

• Third: silver English pair cased watch, H. Brownbill, Leeds, no.115, gilded full plate, verge escapement, plain three-arm balance, decoratively pierced and engraved balance cock, diamond endstone, fusee and chain, turned pillars, signed H. Brownbill, Leeds, no. 115,signed gilt-metal dust cap • white enamel dial, later naively painted in polychrome enamel with flowers and a perched parrot plain silver inner and outer cases, hallmarked London 1823 and with case maker's mark TC possibly Thomas Collier
