87% Tempranillo, 13% Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2019, a stunning bouquet of woodsmoke, cedarwood, eucalyptus, cassis, plums and curry leaves - you name it, it is there. Intoxicating. Luscious liquorice and leather on the palate, the glycerol invading the whole mouth. Perfect structure and composition, with wild herb tannins - wow. Fittingly, we savoured this with loin of Iberian pork. In 2021, it is in full flower, but with more to go and a youthful, powerful flourish to add to the excellence. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
