Excellent levels, 1 label very slightly nicked at edges, 1 very slightly marked otherwise good appearance; Excellents niveaux, 1 étiquette très légèrement entaillée sur les bords, 1 très légèrement marquée sinon bel aspect

40 hl/ha. 43% went into the 'grand vin'. 65% new oak. 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14.5% Merlot, 0.5% Cabernet Franc. Deep colour. The nose is more complex and with more power than the 2007. Very supple tannins and fruit on the palate, with length and some firmness still at the finish when tasted in 2010. Needs 4-5 years to express itself fully. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

The Classic taste of the late owner is obvious, with an impressive depth of Cru Classé Bordeaux on offer from the 1990s to 2010s, with an extensive representation across First Growths to Fifth Growths, together with an outstanding representation of some of the greatest Crus recently produced in Saint-Emilion and Pomerol. Beyond Bordeaux, we glimpse more of the collector’s tastes with a small selection of Super Tuscans and iconic Californian gems. Great vintages are a gift from Mother Nature and this collection has assembled some of the best wines produced in Bordeaux for the past decade in tremendous quantities with a large variety of formats from half bottles to double magnums. This is a cellar to satisfy every wine lover from all over the world.
