In 2018, this may now be at peak in bottle form, or on a plateau, with the enormous sweetness, rivalling that of 1929. Rich in texture, ultra peachy and treacly, this is an Yquem to wallow in. The property of a great bon viveur, who had an eye for the best, this collection starts with an impressive tranche of La Tâche, followed by other DRC cases, Château Latour and other top claret, Yquem, Masseto, Sassicaia, etc. The damp in the cellar has affected the labels, but it also means that the levels, almost without exception, are well into the neck, and the wine itself is bursting with health
