In 1985, Gérald Genta created the modern Cartier Pasha from a vintage timepiece that Louis Cartier had designed in the 1930s for the Pasha of Marrakech El Glaoui. The grid disappeared while the characteristic screw-down crown cap and chain remains.
The present lot comes in a yellow gold case. The watch is increasingly popular with collectors today.
