Designed as an owl, the body set with a demi-boule opal, the plumage decorated with brilliant-cut diamonds and diamonds of brown tint, to the cabochon emerald eyes and onyx beak, mounted in 18 karat white, yellow and blackened gold.

Pin stamped 750 for 18 karat white, yellow and blackened gold, also stamped 30.83, E1.24 and D4.79 referring to the weight of the opal and total weights of the emeralds and diamonds respectively. Opal in very good condition, of translucent material, with distinct play-of-colour effect, some minor nicks and a few very fine scratches. Emeralds are of medium green colour and medium saturation, with typical natural inclusions, one with some adhesive residues near the mounting. Diamonds are bright and lively; coloured diamonds are mainly of very light to light yellowish brown colour, as graded in the mounting. Metal in near new condition. Overall in excellent condition.
