Centering a cushion-cut sapphire, with red white and blue enamel reflecting an American flag onto the concave gold star.
- Sapphire weighing 9.60 carats
- Length 1½ inches
- Signed Cartier
- 14 karat yellow and pink gold
- Accompanied by AGL report no. 1118942 stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating
- Circa 1940
