The Philosophie, Commonlie Called, The Morals. London: Printed by Arnold Hatfield, 1603
Folio (322 x 200 mm). Woodcut allegorical headpiece on title, woodcut head- and tailpieces, and decorative initials, three-page errata at end; title and dedication leaf with gutter margins renewed, title with lower corner renewed, last leaf inlaid, other marginal repairs, and a made-up copy with gatherings assembled from several copies. Contemporary blind-ruled calf, central gilt arms of England on sides, morocco lettering-piece on spine; restored.
First complete edition of the Moralia in English.
