6 volumes, including 3 folio plate volumes (689 x 546 mm) and 3 8vo text volumes containing the 5 supplementary plates (268 x 180 mm). Folios with 150 hand-colored lithographed plates by J.J. Audubon and J.W. Audubon, backgrounds after Audubon, lithography by J.T. Bowen; titles and contents leaves foxed as usual, first volume with some faint spotting to four plates, the depictions of the Beaver, the Badger and the American Beaver more noticeably so, second volume with some very faint marginal spotting to 2 plates and third volume with occasional stray spot.
