The Nike Air Jordan 1 is one of the most iconic designs in the history of both streetwear and basketball and is a key part of the origin of the Air Jordan brand for Nike. Designed by Peter Moore, Michael Jordan wore Air Jordan 1s in 1984 and 1985, as well as modified versions in 1986 (after a broken foot Michael endured).
Offered in this lot is a circa 1985 garment bag, which boasts a red nylon outer with a contrasting white Nike logo and black Air Jordan logos. The item has provenance from an ex-Nike employee who was with the company for over 20 years. He was there when Nike launched the Air Jordan line and explained that the bag was made for employees to travel with to show samples to vendors.
