Two gold cut-cornered rectangular snuff boxes, Geneva and Paris, early 19th century
the first, Darier & Galopin, Geneva, circa 1807-1812, decorated with concentric engine-turning within foliate acorn border on a sablé ground, the sides decorated with a border resembling Greek key, the angles with chased split formal ornaments, maker's mark, struck: 18K, two indistinct marks, the left rim numbered: 449, the second, Paris, also decorated with a scrolling acorn border, around a central panel engine-turned with zig zag bands, plain polished side panels within the same borders, erased Paris maker's mark, post-revolutionary unregistered 3e titre, later French eagle's head control mark,
