A gold and enamel souvenir, 19th century


rectangular, both sides centred with oval enamel plaques of putti painted en grisaille on a mint green ground, below blue enamel ribbon and above blue laurel wreaths, broad reeded border decorated with green basse-taille enamel leaves, both sides of the hinged lid decorated with a white enamel band inscribed: Souvenir, the interior fitted with a gold pencil holder and a matching small gold and green enamel etui mounted with plain ivory leaves, with one additional ivory sheet, the ivory case with French prestige marks including maker’s marks
