Description

Echézeaux 1999

Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Côte de Nuits, Grand Cru

Excellent level, label very slightly soiled, capsule showing very slight signs of corrosion, Halpern Enterprises back label

31hl/hectare were produced this year. Incredible scented nose. Heather and violets. Gloriously 'meaty' taste. Smoky too. Such a fine texture and quite different from Faiveley's Echézeaux of the same year, which is less open. Mineral finish. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
