A Régence Gilt-Bronze Mounted Kingwood Parquetry Commode , Circa 1720

Remounted; the cross-banded diamond parquetry D-shaped top with slightly outset rear corners, the front containing three drawers with Medusa head chiseled key escutcheons and flower- and foliage-chiseled drop handles issuing from mask-head supports, the rounded corners with petal-tip encadrements surmounted by a winged grotesque mask, and the sides with cabochons and foliage-chiseled mounts, the apron applied with petal-tip edge and raised on double-C-scroll supports centering chiseled shell medallions, the rear supported on bun feet.
