Sir Norman Randall Elliott and Lady Elliott (purchased from the above in the 1960s); thence by descent to the present owners

Sir Norman Randall Elliott (1903-1992) was Chairman of the Electricity Council from 1968-1972 and Chairman of Howden Group for ten years from 1973. He was an avid art collector and close friends with Walter Hussey, who offered his private collection of Modern British art to the city of Chichester which led to the foundation of Pallant House Gallery. The present work has been within the same family collection since it was purchased.
