A set of six Russian Easter eggs, various makers, cities and dates


the first locket egg painted in red with a central reserve depicting the Resurrection and a Church on the reverse and signed 'Tim Oina' inside, the second also a locket egg painted black with gold stars depicting the Resurrection on the front and flowers on the reverse, the third also depicting the Resurrection and painted black with gilt floral ornamentation and inscribed with Cyrillic XB on the reverse signifying 'Christ is risen', the fourth egg painted blue with gold ornamentation and a central reserve depicting St Nicholas the Wonderworker, the fifth with a golden body decorated with red and green foliate motifs with three oval reserves each bordered by white beads and containing an image of each figure with cream haloes and their names inscribed in red, four faceted gems arranged in a rhombus between each portrait, the sixth depicting Christ in blue robes standing behind two figures, the reverse inscribed with Cyrillic XB signifying 'Christ is risen', with a light blue ribbon
