Eine Untertasse, Frühes Meissener Porzellan, um 1715-20

A service incorporating teabowls and saucers of this form, and decorated in the Dresden workshop of Georg Funcke, was included in the historic collection of the Margraves and Grand Dukes of Baden. The service was probably from the collection of the Margravine Sibylla Augusta of Baden-Baden (1675-1733), Schloß Favorite, Rastatt. Today, the three remaining teabowls and saucers from the service are in Schloß Favorite, Staatliche Schlösser und Gärten, inv. nos. G7552-7553, 7590-7593. A saucer from the service sold a Sotheby's Baden-Baden, 7th October 1995, lot 1274. It subsequently entered the Hoffmeister Collection, illustated in Dieter Hoffmeister, Meissener Porzellan des 18. Jahrhunderts, Katalog der Sammlung Hoffmeister, Band I, Hamburg, 1999, pp. 28-29, no. 8.
