painted aluminum, brass

manufactured by Arredoluce, Monza, Italy

46 1/2 in. (118.1 cm) drop as illustrated

31 in. (78.7 cm) diameter

Overall in very good condition. The metal surfaces throughout present with scattered light scratches, scuffing and light surface soiling consistent with age and gentle use. The white shade presents with small occasional losses to the paint particularly concentrated to the edges and not visually distracting. The black diffuser appears to have been repainted at some point in the history of the piece and presents very well overall. The brass elements present with oxidation, tarnish and light pitting consistent with age. One of the support wires has been sensitively replaced by a professional restorer in keeping with the original design to ensure stability and functionality. A beautifully balanced design by Angelo Lelli. Sotheby's does not guarantee electrical components and recommends having all wiring inspected by a licensed electrician.
