circa 1987

number 4 from an edition of 50

corrugated cardboard

inscribed GRANDPA BEAVER and numbered 4/50

35 x 51 x 40 in. (88.9 x 129.5 x 101.6 cm)

Overall in very good condition. The corrugated cardboard presents with light wear, scattered surface scratches, abrasions, occasional discolorations, water stains and light compression throughout consistent with age and the nature of the material. The seat and seat back present with slightly more concentrated rubbing and compression to the cardboard, consistent with use and not visually distracting. The edges of the chair present with a few small tears to the cardboard, some possibly inherent to production and enhancing the textural quality of the work. The recessed contours of the cardboard with light surface soiling and minor trapped debris, not visually distracting.
