"My artistic project finds its impetus in the analysis of the economy of paradigmatic abstraction of the 21st century. I strive to index, reference and bring to light the expression and projection of transcendentalist and spiritualist themes since the Renaissance.

I would situate my work in a tradition of the icon including artists such as Malevitch, Mondrian, Newman, Reinhardt, Ryman, ect., but also in Europe, those (Fontana, Klein, Manzoni, ect.) that we know under the collective name of the Nouveau réalisme."

CHRISTIAN ECKART, 1995
