The title Citizen or God Men Are Truly Stuck comes a translation from German to English of Kafka’s Metamorphosis which Prouvost’s friend, the British artist Rory Macbeth, executed with no knowledge of German or a dictionary in 2009. Prouvost’s reinterpretation of this erroneous translation evokes the fact that human languages functions by way of subjective interpretation and misunderstanding. Prouvost lives and works in Antwerp.

Le titre de Citizen or God Men Are Truly Stuck vient d’une traduction de l’Allemand vers l’Anglais de la Métamorphose de Kafka, que l'ami de Prouvost, l'artiste britannique Rory Macbeth, a réalisé sans connaissance de l'allemand et sans utiliser de dictionnaire en 2009. La réinterprétation par Prouvost de cette traduction erronée évoque le fait que les langages humains fonctionnent par voie d'interprétation subjective et d'incompréhension.
