Autograph letter, in German, to George Henschel, signed ("P. Tschaikowsky"), APPARENTLY UNPUBLISHED
averring that he has certainly not forgotten him, although he has neither seen him nor heard anything from him for twelve years, and also sending his kind regards to Frau Henschel

Tchaikovsky's correspondent was the distinguished conductor and baritone George Henschel (1850-1934), who had first met the composer during a visit to Russia in 1875. The present letter, one of two to Henschel known to survive, dates from the time of the composition of Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony.
