A reprint of Antonio Brucioli's Italian translation, issued in Geneva to avoid ecclesiastical restrictions in Italy.
The same border can be seen on a 1744 edition of Swift, illustrated in Stuart Bennet, Trade Bookbindng in the British Isles 1660-1800, p.133.
