woodblock printed illustrated book, 20 volumes (complete), date: 1836 (Tempo 7), publishers: Suharaya Mohei and Suharaya Ihachi, binding: fukurotoji (pouch binding), light blue covers embossed with young pine, encased in four 20th century fitted blue linen board cases with impressed gold leaf Japan Society Imperial chrysanthemum crest

Each volume with numerous double-page illustrations interspersed with double-pages of text relating to famous places in Edo (Tokyo)

volume 1 with title page signed Saito Gesshin henjutsu (edited by Saito Gesshin) and Hasegawa Settan zu ga (illustrated by Hasegawa Settan); volume 20 with colophon stating editor and artist, dated Tempo 7 and with publisher details as above
