Lithographed folding chart (990 x 1185 mm). Hand-colored in outline, 8 vertical folds, 6 horizontal folds; chipped at upper left corner, separating along two folds, earlier separations repaired, restoration to two panels on the verso, a few short closed tears, toned, stray spots at foot. Housed in a blue quarter morocco clamshell box.

Portions of coasts explored in the search for Sir John Franklin, the expeditions of which ultimately led to the discovery of the Northwest Passage.
