Arabic manuscript on emerald-green paper, 702 leaves plus 2 fly-leaves, 11 lines to the page written in naskh in silver ink within clouds against a gold ground, ruled in silver, verses separated by a gold circle with a red dot, marginal hizb and juz’ markers in silver, the margins with dense gold scrolls with red flowers, surah headings in gold, f.1b-2a with an illuminated opening frontispiece, the green boards with gild flower motifs, the associated leather spine with gilt pattern, with flap


30.5 by 19cm.

In overall good condition, minor tears and holes to the paper, minor areas of restoration mostly affecting the outer sides and the corners, minor smudges and stains, but the overall illumination remains bright, catchwords, the four digits of the date slightly rubbed, the binding associated with some residue of tape and also the spine different from the boards, as viewed.
