A pair of large famille-verte jars and covers

Qing dynasty, Kangxi period

each with a baluster body, brightly enamelled around the exterior with three bands of lotus-lappet panels enclosing varieties of flowers issuing from rockwork, archaic vases and mythical beasts, all below yellow-ground ruyi at the neck, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a lotus bud finial
