4to (198 x 140mm.), woodcut illustration of a pope seated on a throne on title-page, later green calf-backed boards, a few manuscript annotations


FIRST EDITION. The pope depicted on the title is Julius II, his armorial appears on the right of the image. Stella also composed a volume of biographies of emperors (Venice, 1503).
