The painting is unframed. Painted on canvas and then strip lined onto a black painted linen support. There are various markings to the edges of the original canvas, particularly three small scratches, approximately 3 mm by 1 mm, 1 cm apart, near the top right hand corner. Two or three further scuffs near the top right-hand corner, about 1 cm long. Some other small scuffs along the edges of the canvas surrounding the painting where it is attached to the linen support, of particular note being at the lower left and right corners. Minor scratch in the surface, approximately 4 cm long, running laterally from the centre at the bottom.

Documentation refers to the work being exhibited in an exhibition entitled Tjinytjilpa that toured regional Victoria from 1998, and at the Embassy of Australia, Washington, D.C., in June 1999.
