American Private Collection, acquired from the above in the 1990s
Made by the Kurnai people of Gippsland in eastern Victoria and named a Kul-luk or Kujerung, and carved from a tough hard and heavy wood, it is a club particular to this area of Australia. This exceptional example is stoned carved and has a rich shiny patina.
