'Cathedral Peak from Domes Near Tenaya Lake'

gelatin silver print, the 'Photograph by Ansel Adams' stamp, signed by Virginia Best Adams in pencil, and a Michael and Jeanne Adams collection stamp on the reverse, 1940; accompanied by a certificate of provenance, signed by Michael and Jeanne Adams (2)

image: 7 ⅜ by 9 ⅜ in. (18.7 by 23.8 cm.)

Please note the colors and shades in the online catalogue illustration may vary depending on screen settings.

This print is in generally excellent condition. Visible only under very high raking light are a few hairline scratches. The edges are worn and there are occasional chips to the emulsion.

The reverse is faintly soiled. There is a small circular rust-colored deposit in the lower right corner, possibly foxing. The following are written in pencil in unidentified hands: '#2042'; '(Taken at workshop with Edward Weston)'; 'MJA #0087'; and 'AA/1901'.

When examined under ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
