Cabernet Sauvignon 63%, Merlot 35.6%, Petit Verdot 0.9%, Cabernet Franc 0.5%. 40% of production. One plot of Merlot that usually goes into the 'grand vin' went into Les Forts this year. Archetypal cedary/spicy nose. Immensely deep, dense and aromatic. So coffee and chocolate on the palate, with rich black liquorice and wine gums, plus lovely fresh acidity. Spot-on stuff. Serena Sutcliffe, MW

A fine and eclectic cellar spanning First Growth Bordeaux, 1er Cru Burgundy, Krug, Super Tuscans, Vega Sicilia, Penfolds, cult Napa, and South American icons such as Catena Zapata. All recently removed from professional temperature-controlled storage and bought upon release from reputable UK merchants.
