Overall in very good condition. The wooden surfaces present with light surface scratches and small abrasions concentrated to the corners and edges of the piece. The wooden surfaces exhibit evidence of later restoration and inpainting throughout to stabilize and restore the original mahogany finish, which are concentrated to the front of the coiffeuse (the largest area under the central drawer measuring approximately 3 inches wide). The mahogany surfaces with evidence of scattered restorations and filling to the hairlines and joints, not visually distracting. The coiffeuse comprises seven drawers in working condition. The ivory elements have recently been replaced with ivorine in a manner that is consistent with the original material. The shagreen surfaces are in age-appropriate condition overall and present with superb variations in color and texture when viewed firsthand. The shagreen with occasional hairlines which are stable. The fabric to the stool is in excellent condition. The mirror easily rotates and is in excellent condition, with some extremely minor oxidation marks to the silvering concentrated to the outer edges.
