Collection of Ten Vessels

circa 1962-1963

executed by Bitossi for Galleria il Sestante, Milan

glazed ceramic

most numbered and signed SOTTSASS/IL SESTANTE/ITALY

tallest: 12 3/4 in. (32.4 cm) high

Overall in excellent condition. The vessels present with some occasional and minor surface scratches as well as occasional very minimal stable hairline cracks to the ceramic surfaces, not visually distracting. The glaze presents with minor and occasional irregularities to the application. One vessel presents with 2 fine hairlines, the largest measuring 2 in., which appear to have received sensitive restoration and are not visually distracting. Two of the lower vessels appear to have been refinished at some point in their history, one of which presents with a small area of flaking to the interior, not visible unless closely inspected. A wonderful collection of vessel forms.
