Description

NIKE, NIKE AIR FORCE 1, SIZE 10.5

Rubber, Leather, Cotton, Synthetic

2005

As one of the hyper-limited pairs of the era, dedicated to a rock-band, the Nike Air Force 1 High ‘Head Automatica’ has remained as one of the most iconic music related pairs Nike has ever produced.

Strikingly unique, the pair is dressed in a predominantly brown and white upper. Set atop a white midsole and brown outsole, the pair's nearly two tone upper is contrasted with bursts of bright pink on the tongue and heel tab and finished with Head Automatica branding on the heel straps.

As these pairs were only given out to Friends & Family, it was rumored that less than 50 pairs were produced.

The Air Force 1, arguably Nike’s most iconic sneaker, is in many regards, the first of its kind. Previously realized in running shoes, the introduction of Nike’s ‘Air’ technology in the midsole was a revolutionary concept for basketball sneakers. Tasked with bringing the concept to life, designer Bruce Kilgore and an aerospace engineer brought the project to fruition with a hiking boot inspired, ankle strapped, high top. Kilgore’s first basketball sneaker, the Air Force 1 was brought to market in 1982.
