Presented in a heavy 18k pink gold case and black tapisserie dial with a matching bracelet, the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore reference 25970 is a watch introduced by the maison to mark the handover of Hong Kong to China on July 1st, 1997. Limited to only 30 pieces in pink gold with the current example numbered 27, Audemars Piguet further highlights the importance of the day by engraving the brand’s chinese name to the case back instead of its english name. In wonderful condition with natural signs of aging and oxidation, it shows that the watch has been preserved in its original condition over the years.
