The Royal Oak is the most famous model from the distinguished manufacture Audemars Piguet. Based in Le Brassus which is nestled in the Vallée de Joux, the brand is famous both for its complicated watchmaking and its design innovations. Created by Gerald Genta in the early 70s at the height of the Quartz Crisis, the Royal Oak design has persisted ever since and this particular example in 18 karat rose gold is a luxurious version thereof. The watch and bracelet have the perfect weight on the wrist and are contrasted by a well-balanced anthracite tapisserie dial. At the heart of the watch is a sophisticated and high-quality automatic movement with chronograph and date functions.
