This was the first vintage with La Tour Haut Brion in it. 30% new oak. Cabernet Sauvignon 50%, Cabernet Franc 28%, Merlot 22%. A wonderfully vibrant, fresh nose of red fruit - cooking raspberry jam. This continues to the palate with its immediacy of fruit and fresh appeal. So flavoury and elegant. In 2012, the raspberries are very strong and very alluring. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
