Merlot 90%, Cabernet Franc 10%. 70% new oak. This tiny (4.2 ha) property has done it again. Incidentally, Denis Durantou will probably increase his Cabernet Franc to counteract global warming. Overpoweringly spicy nose. 14.5 alcohol that does not show. Black cherries on the palate. High tannin, more than in 2005 and 2009, but so covered with glossy fruit, coating the teeth. Very healthy berries - like crunching sweet blackcurrants. Another winner.   Serena Sutcliffe, MW
