Conceived in 1923 and first assembled in 1935, this object was executed in 1975 in an edition of 200 examples published by Mario Amaya (on the occasion of an exhibition at the New York Cultural Center, 1974-75).

Andrew Strauss and Timothy Baum of the Man Ray Expertise Committee have confirmed the authenticity of this work and that the edition of this edition will be included in the Catalogue of Objects & Sculptures of Man Ray, currently in preparation.
