Woodland Stream

signed F. Childe Hassam and dated 83 (lower right)

watercolor and pencil on paper

sheet: 12 ⅛ by 9 inches (30.8 by 22.9 cm)

framed: 23 ½ by 20 ½ inches (59.7 by 52.1 cm)

This painting will be included in Kathleen M. Burnside and Stuart P. Feld's forthcoming catalogue raisonné of the artist's work. We thank them for their assistance in cataloguing this lot.

The sheet is hinged to its support in two places along the upper reverse edge. There appears to be some minor mat burn along the extreme outer edges of the sheet. There do not appear to be any tears, creases or losses to the sheet.
