A finely embroidered satin panel of Amitayus
Tibet, 17th/18th century
depicted seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, hands in dhyana mudra, a five-pointed crown with a jewel crests the top of the head and the downcast face framed by elongated ears and earrings, the bare chest adorned with necklaces and wrapped in flowing ribbons, the whole is worked in satin stitch in yellow, cream, orange, green and blue hues on a dark navy silk ground
30 by 21.5 cm, 11¾ by 8¾ in
Several loose threads and minor discoloration overall, the bottom right corner of the navy satin background has been re-stitched.
