A doucai 'Li Taibai' brusphot
Qing dynasty, Kangxi period
the cylindrical body rising from a flat base, painted and enamelled around the exterior with figures in a studio attending to the drunken poet
Height 15.5 cm, 6⅛ in.
There are two circa 7cm., wide areas of over-painting to the body, one rising circa 13cm up the side of the vessel and the other extending up from the base to the underside of the large table and an associated band of overpainting extending approximately half the way around the edge of the foot, glaze scratches and rubbing to the glaze on the interior.
