Cameo with a Young Man

chalcedony, within a mount

cameo: 28mm., 1 1/8 in.

30mm., 1 1/4 in. overall

Overall the condition of the gem is excellent with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. Natural veining to the stone. The mount was probably once a ring, but the band has been removed and the mount adapted to fit a necklace. Otherwise general wear to the mount.
